So Gov. Spitzer arranged to have sex with a pricey pro. Having made a career as "Mr. Clean" and having prosecuted "Sex Rings" in the past, that simply means that Gov. Spitzer is a) Going to resign soon, and b) An accomplished hypocrite.
So what else is new? Let’s move on and deal with the bigger issue: Prostitution should be legal! It is a profession like any other. Prostitutes deserve the same rights and services (and should be taxed) like any other trade. They are certainly more useful to society that Wall Street bankers, entertainers or sports stars. Prostitutes deserve access to health care and should be tested for STDs on a regular basis. We should refrain from legislating "morality" and instead focus on public health issues.
