Read Glen Greenwald’s take on this. So true. What offended me most about this whole thing is that a smart person like Obama goes to church in the first place. If you attend church you better check and leave your critical thinking skills at the front entrance, because these will only get in the way once you enter the building.
What’s up with the lip service to religion that everybody apparently has to pay in this country? When will we get to see a rational, non-superstitious (i.e., non-religious) person run for office? THAT person has my vote. If only because I can be sure that there will be no stories about pastors or church attendance later on.
