Traveling on business this week in sunny Minnesota. Read the news and came across this story of a decorated U.S. Army Sergeant that was expelled from the U.S. military because he killed a bunch of innocent civilians….just kidding. Killing foreign civilians is not a problem, it’s called collateral damage. No, this fellow has been sacked because he is…gay. Watch the ironical Jon Steward in this clip and remember that Sergeant Bleu Copas is one of the few men that are able to speak Arabic, as skill so rare that it currently ensures you a $150,000 hiring bonus in the U.S. army. But don’t be gay (or even bi-curious, for that matter) or you’re out.
Is our military run by a bunch of incompetent, homophobic schmucks, or what? Good thing this country has good scientists and engineers to make up for the lower-than-room temperature I.Q. of the rest of our military establishment.
