The date was Wednesday, 17 October 2007, around 5:00pm. La fecha fue el miércoles, 17 de octubre de 2007, alrededor de las 5:00 pm. I was sitting at a terminal gate at DFW, waiting to board my flight back to New York. Yo estaba sentado en una terminal en DFW la puerta, esperando a bordo de mi vuelo de regreso a Nueva York. As usual, it’s hard to escape the noise of the TV broadcasting CNN’s latest news. Como de costumbre, es difícil escapar del ruido de la retransmisión por televisión de la CNN últimas noticias. Suddenly I hear this: "It seems to me that if you’re interested in avoiding World War III . . . you ought to be interested in preventing [Iran] from having the knowledge necessary to make a nuclear weapon." Usted debe estar interesados en la prevención de [Irán] tenga los conocimientos necesarios para hacer un arma nuclear". I know there is only one nutcase crazy enough to utter such nonsense. Sure enough, looking up at the TV monitor, I see our Nutcase in Charge giving some kind of press briefing. Claro suficiente, mirando en el monitor de TV, veo en nuestra chiflado encargado dar algún tipo de rueda de prensa.

You meet people like President Bush at parties and other social occasions. Te encuentras personas como el Presidente Bush en las fiestas y otras ocasiones sociales. The have strongly held views about many things and don’t hesitate to explain these views to you. La firmeza se han celebrado puntos de vista sobre muchas cosas y no dudan en explicar estos puntos de vista para usted. They are not interested in  listening to opinions that differ from theirs and often do not distinguish themselves as having a good command of the facts. Ellos no están interesados en escuchar opiniones que difieren de las suyas y con frecuencia no distinguen a sí mismos como tener un buen dominio de los hechos. There is nothing wrong with these people, as long as they are not put into positions of power. No hay nada malo con estas personas, siempre y cuando no se ponen en posiciones de poder.
